Clashes erupt between protesters and police in Haiti

Protesters demanding the resignation of Haitian President Jovenel Moise clashed with police in front of the parliament in Port-au-Prince on Wednesday.

Police fired tear gas at protesters and detained at least two people.

The anti-government protests against Moise began in February in impoverished quarters of Port-au-Prince.

Demonstrators are protesting against the country’s corruption, double-digit inflation, and poor living conditions.
