The Somali terrorist group, al-Shabaab has been waging a campaign of violence in Somalia for more than a decade.
Their aim is to replace the UN-backed government and impose Islamic law.
An African Union force has managed to seize back control of many cities including the capital Mogadishu.
But al-Shabaab still controls around 20 percent of the country.
To weaken the organization the government is offering amnesty to some militants who leave al-Shabaab.
Some of these defectors are in a rehabilitation center in southern Somalia.
