Hong Kong ‘Umbrella Movement’ protest leaders found guilty

Nine Hong Kong democracy campaigners have been found guilty for their part in mass protests in 2014. They were facing colonial-era charges of conspiring, causing and instigating public nuisance.

2014 Umbrella Movement brought Hong Kong to a standstill, with thousands of people calling for free elections for the self-governing territory’s leader.
