Heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in Kerala as the death toll has now mounted to 67. A red alert has been sounded across 12 districts of the state.
The Kochi airport has been shut down till 18th of August after heavy rains resulted in massive flooding. Next 4 days are critical for the state as the MeT has predicted heavy rainfall. A total of 33 dams have been opened across the state to discharge excess water in reservoirs.
In a desperate plea for help Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan has sought for boats for flood relief across the state.
