The man convicted of murdering a gay learner in Potchefstroom in the North West has been sentenced to life. David Somolekae murdered 16-year-old Leslie Makousa by strangling him with a shoe lace in Promosa township a year ago. A passer-by found Makousa’s body in an isolated area of the township. Judge David Makhoba handed down the life sentence earlier.
