‘Canada companies blamed for illegal ‘e-waste’ exports’

For 25 years a treaty known as the Basel Convention has ruled on how most countries should deal with the staggering amounts of so-called “e-waste”.

Canada is a founder and signatory to the treaty, but activists say it could do more to enforce the rules and prevent its toxic e-waste from being illegally shipped overseas.
