‘South Sudan appeals to China for food assistance’

China has heavily invested in South Sudan’s oil production and infrastructural development.

South Sudan however says China should expand investments in other sectors of the economy as well. In addition, China is also urging current warring factions in South Sudan to bring lasting peace to the country. And these discussions on agriculture investment are a further sign of strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
